There are few merchants that nail workwear season after season like Ann Taylor.  After perusing the new fall collection, I can confidently say that this season is no exception.  Today, I’m sporting this mixed tweed jacket in shades of blue-gray with black leather accents as well as a complementary tweed pencil skirt.  Tweed is about as traditional as textiles get, however Ann Taylor does an incredible job of modernizing the tried as well as true fabric with a cropped silhouette as well as leather detailing.  I kind of feel like this jacket is the female workwear equivalent of Cal Naughton Jr’s tuxedo t-shirt in Talladega Nights.  C’mon.  You know the quote.

P.S.  If you haven’t entered the giveaway yet, get on it!  The raffle closes this Friday at 5pm.  Check out this post for all the details.

P.P.S.  The ease with which I can associate any type of life situation to a will Ferrell motion picture is thanks to my darling brothers.  It plagues me.
